Food for Families provides free supplemental groceries to individuals and families that are food insecure. Neighbor-choice pantry allows families to shop for themselves and pick out groceries that best meet their needs. Individuals and families can shop twice a month.
The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry (HRFP) is a community based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization comprised entirely of volunteers dedicated to eliminating hunger by providing supplemental food to individuals and families in Haymarket, Gainesville and the surrounding areas.

The program is set up to provide food for people in need of assistance. Services are free to those who qualify.
Provides Meals for Residents, an Open Meal for the Public and a Food Pantry. Accepts food donations. The Food Pantry is located at the Haven of Rest and provides several days worth of meals for families who are under the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Breads, canned foods, frozen foods, fresh fruits and/or vegetables, chips and snacks are usually included. Special diet needs may not be available, but if stated at the time of registering for food assistance, the staff will often attempt to help.

Provides emergency food for individuals and families referred by public or private social service agencies. Requires emergency referrals by fax and accepts six emergency food referrals per year. Eligible clients may come monthly for USDA commodities through their Emergency Food Assistance Program.
Households may receive food monthly from the food pantry. Staff will arrange for outside pick up of food, diapers and supplies or provide restricted Food Lion cards by mail.
