No disruptive behavior for at least past 24 months prior to consideration for a transfer to any less-secure facility ICCC is an intensive long-term institution-based treatment program for incarcerated substance abusing offenders. It is a medium security, dormitory-designed facility. ICCC houses involuntary male offenders in six housing units; including one reception unit. The community defines right living as an integral concept through role modeling and confrontation of unhealthy lifestyles. A hierarchy structure is utilized within the community to create accountability and responsibility for the inmate population. Currently, Indian Creek Correctional Center is one of the largest prison-based Therapeutic Communities in the nation.

The jail can hold up to 214 inmates. Inmates have access to an exercise area, a library, a medical facility, classrooms and a laundry room. Has a public safety area that houses the Sheriff's Department and Botetourt County's magistrates, who also serve Craig County.

Provides juvenile detention for children 8 to 18 years of age, who are awaiting court dates or permanent placement by the courts. Programs includes educational services, group counseling, medical services, mental health assessments, behavior management, mentors and recreational activities.

A 60-bed facility that detains juveniles ordered through the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court systems serving the cities of Danville and Martinsville and the counties of Halifax, Henry, Mecklenburg, Patrick and Pittsylvania.

Provides secure custody and care of juveniles in a safe, healthy environment, giving supervision, guidance, and counseling while promoting personal responsibility, social accountability, and emotional growth.

CAP Unit was established upon the closure of the RDC. The core functions include the receipt and review of all commitment packets as well as the intake, orientation, and evaluation phase of a resident's direct care admission.

Houses administrative offices, a magistrate's office, public and professional visiting areas, kitchen, laundry, library, classrooms, medical unit, basketball court, two contained outdoor recreation yards, and a secure vehicle sallyport for loading and unloading prisoners. Offers a home electronic monitoring program (H.E.M.) that uses state-of-the-art Radio Frequency (RF) Monitoring to track non-violent offenders. Through a Work Release Program, participants are housed at the jail throughout their tenure on the program. Each individual is monitored and is subject to random drug testing. Provides various programs to inmates on an equal basis. Currently, program offerings include the following: Alcoholics Anonymous, Anger Management Classes, GED Classes, Substance Abuse Classes, Workforce Readiness Classes, and Various Religious Programs. Participation is voluntary.

Is a 257-bed facility housing male and female inmates at the maximum, medium and minimum security levels.

Provides secure and safe housing for prisoners. Offers 24-hour medical coverage with medical screening on admission.

A close custody male correctional facility. Security Level 4 High - Assignment Criteria: Long Term; Single, multiple, and Life + sentences. No disruptive behavior for at least past 24 months prior to consideration for a transfer to any less secure facility.

Provides temporary supervised housing for persons entrusted to the Sheriff's Office's care, to meet their basic human needs, and also provide programs that will assist in helping those persons become a productive part of society upon release from the jail.
