Hours

Wood is delivered every Saturday as requested. Requests not received by Thursday at 4pm, will not be added to the delivery list for the current week.

Application process

Applicants are screened by phone and are not required to come into the office. Determination of eligibility is based on need and location.

This program provides free wood to citizens of the Metro Richmond area who qualify based on eligibility criteria. Wood will be delivered to homes that are located within a 12 mile radius of the woodlot in Northside Richmond. In times of wood shortage, priority is given to Richmond City residents and elderly participants. Requests for wood can be made weekly as needed, but wood will not be delivered to homes where there is sufficient wood to last for a week or more. All recipients receive one level truckload of stove-ready wood per delivery.
