Eligibility
Individuals must have a current or recent mental health occurrence resulting in significant functional impairments in major life activities.
Additionally, the individual must have the following:
History of residential psychiatric services, which includes temporary and short-term crisis residential services;
History of medication prescribed for the mental health diagnosis or occurrence.
AND
Must meet at least two of the following criteria:
Difficulty in establishing or maintaining normal interpersonal relationships that puts them at risk of hospitalization, homelessness, or isolation from social supports.
Exhibits inappropriate behavior that requires repeated interventions by the mental health, social services, or judicial systems.
Difficulty in recognizing personal danger or recognizing significantly inappropriate social behavior.
Require help in basic living skills that puts their health or safety in jeopardy.

Mental Health Skill-Building Services provides individuals with an opportunity to work one-on-one with a mental health provider in development of goals and objectives for the following trainings and reinforcements:
independent living skills - taking care of the home, personal hygiene and belongings
paying bills and budgeting money
keeping important medical and psychiatric appointments
medication management
coping skills for mental illness diagnosis
accessing community resources (e.g., health, food, educational, vocational, recreational), socialization opportunities and social skills
