Eligibility
Hospice care is appropriate for those who have a life-limiting illness with an approximate life expectancy of six months or less. Hospice patients agree to accept treatments that focuses on symptom management rather than cure. All patients remain under the care of an attending physician who gives consent to hospice services. Patients may live at home alone or with a caregiver or in an assisted living or nursing facility.

Provides hospice care to patients with a chronic or terminal illness residing at home or in assisted living or nursing facilities. Care is provided by registered nurses, medical social workers, nursing assistants, chaplains, bereavement counselors, dietitian and complementary therapists. Good Sam is participating in NHPCO's "We Honor Veterans" program which is designed to help hospice professionals learn how to better serve veterans through the challenges they may be facing at end-of-life from their unique experiences serving in the military.
