Description

Provides some relocation information/assistance for transferring military personnel and families, but I & R Specialist may also provide information, referral and resources on both military and civilian needs including adoption, child care, education, EFMP/ special needs, financial assistance, health care, housing, legal services, military benefits, non-support, ombudsmen, parenting programs, recreation, and support groups. For other than Relocation information, ask for the Information & Referral Specialist for the other topics. Relocating personnel and families may visit the website for Military One Source for information on other installations in preparation for making a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move. Military OneSource may also be contacted by phone 24/7 at 1-800-342-9647. All arrangements for actually making the household goods move must be arranged via the www.move.mil website. FFSC offers some Smooth Move and Overseas Transfer workshops as well. FFSC may no longer provide one-on-one assistance in navigating www.move.mil website. Some limited Relocation Assistance may be available at our NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex office; call 492-6342 to check. FFSC Oceana no longer manages the Lending Locker for relocating personnel/families. It is maintained by the base itself; you may call our front desk at 433-2912 to be referred to the base personnel responsible for the Lending Locker.
