Eligibility

Must be a victim of crime committed in Norfolk to be eligible for most services.

Hours

8am to 5pm from Monday through Friday

Application process

Most referrals are provided by the Commonwealth's Attorney's office or from police reports.

Service area

Norfolk, VA

Liaison between prosecutors, victims, and witnesses in criminal cases. Assists victims in the filing of crime victim compensation claims, monitors the payment of restitution, keeps victims and witnesses apprised of ongoing case status, and provides referrals to available community services as appropriate.

Prosecutes court cases that include felonies, misdemeanors and violations of local ordinances. Also, in charge of the Victim-Witness Assistance Program.
