Provides chief prosecuting officer for Botetourt County who is responsible for initiating charges and prosecuting individuals including juveniles who have been accused of felony and misdemeanor offenses; and investigating allegations of major fraud, organized criminal activity and corruption, and unlawful conduct by public officials. Does not represent private individuals, but represents the state as public prosecutor.
