Provided by trained home care workers who provide cooking, cleaning, shopping assistance, meal planning and laundry service. Services enable elderly people to care for themselves and to remain in a clean, safe, familiar environment for as long as possible.

Mountain Empire Older Citizens
MEOC is the area agency on aging and public transit provider for Lee, Wise and Scott Counties and the City of Norton in the southwestern tip of Virginia. MEOC also operates Mountain Empire PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), directs the Southwest Virginia Children's Advocacy Center and Mountain Laurel Cancer Support and Resource Center, and serves as the aging and disability resource center for its service area.
