Administers the Family Access to Medical Insurance Security Plan (FAMIS) that provides health coverage for children who have not had any health insurance coverage for 6 months. FAMIS is designed to cover children of working Virginia families who make too much money to qualify for Medicaid and too little to afford private health insurance.
