Application process
To receive assistance, clients must be referred by the City of Alexandria Department of Community & Human Services (DCHS) at 703-746-5700, an ALIVE! member congregation, or another social service agency. Referring organizations should complete the Family Assistance Referral Form.

Description
Emergency financial assistance with rent, utilities, medical need expenses by referral. The program disburses up to $750 once in a six-month period to clients for rent, utilities, and medical expenses. Payments are made out directly to the payee, not the requesting individual. Referrals are required.
