Terms begin, 3rd Monday, Jan., March, May, July, Sept., & Nov. Motion Day, 1st Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. Grand Juries, 1st day of Term. Court convenes 9:30 a.m. The circuit court also handles family matters, including divorce. In addition, the circuit court hears cases appealed from the general district court and from the juvenile and domestic relations district court.

Civil cases: shared jurisdiction with General District Court for amounts in dispute between $4,500 and $50,000. Exclusive civil jurisdiction for matters over $50,000. Resolve felony charges.
