Anyone can make a Virginia Relay call just by dialing 7-1-1

Virginia Relay enables people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, or speech disabled to communicate by using specialized telecommunication equipment with anyone who uses a standard phone. Relays calls between deaf, hard-of-hearing, or speech disabled people and hearing people. Calls can be made to anywhere in the world and from anywhere in the United States and Canada. Virginia Relay is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week and 365 days/year. If you're calling about a Virginia Relay feature or quality control issue, you can contact Virginia Relay Customer Care at 1-866-894-4116 (voice) or 1-866-246-9300 (TTY), 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You also can ask a Communications Assistant (CA) to transfer you to Customer Care before, during or after a Relay call. If you have a relay complaint, please contact VDDHH. Virginia Relay also provide Outreach services to heigten public awareness about the availability of telecommunication relay services. We give presentations, training and exhibits. We also have a program called Virginia Relay Partners, which provide free training to businesses and its employees on how to receive or place relay calls so they may provide quality customer service to its' deaf, hard of hearing and speech disabled customers.
