Local Official Offices - Wise, Town of Wise Manager, Wise County Government Services

The Administrative Department provides management of the department heads and human resources services for the employees, develops a recommended budget for consideration by the governing body, researches projects and program requirements and administers special projects for the Town. The Town's chief administrative officer, the Town Manager, is directly responsible to the Town Council for carrying out its policies and for enforcement of Town regulations and ordinances. The manager also makes recommendations to the governing body concerning Town affairs and keeps it advised of the Town's financial condition and future needs. All departmental functions within the Town are supervised by the Town Manager. The Town Manager is appointed for an indefinite term by a majority vote of Town Council and works at their pleasure.
