The Red Cross of the Greater Shenandoah Valley is a humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies, as well as collecting life-saving blood to support those in need. With trained volunteers providing more than 90 percent of the organization's vital services, the American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies, consistent with its Congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross movement. The Red Cross provides a 24/7 call center at 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) which will ensure all calls are answered by a live person and will be forwarded to the proper channels.
