Description
Serves three adult individuals. These individuals receive direct care service each day, but are independent at night. Individuals living at Elk Garden Group Home are transitioning into independent living. Residents must demonstrate the ability to perform daily activities of living independently and must also demonstrate safety at home and in the community. Residents play an active role in planning the activities for leisure which may include unsupervised activities in the community. Residents and families are active in service planning. Payment for residential services is made by the resident and is usually a percentage of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security benefits.
