School Dental Unit – AVAILABLE YEAR ROUND For ages six months through 18 years – Children do NOT have to attend Metompkin Elementary to be seen here. School Medical Virtual Visits – AVAILABLE DURING SCHOOL YEAR Children MUST attend Metompkin, Accawmacke or Kegotank Elementary Schools to be seen for telemedicine appointments. Parents must drive Accawmacke and Kegotank students to Metompkin AFTER being directed there by Rural Health staff. MES staff can be seen as well.

Appointments required. Metompkin students can be brought from class during the regular school day for their dental appointments – a parent doesn’t need to make an appointment or be present for a visit. Before a child can be seen a completed registration form and medical history must be given to the school office. You may call the number above between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to make an appointment for an Accomack County child who does not attend Metompkin. These children will be seen between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
