Camp - Charlottesville, Journeys, Hospice of the Piedmont

Gives grieving children and teens (ages 4-18) the opportunity to be with others their age who are also experiencing significant loss, guided by skilled staff. Offers bereavement day camps each year. Through these camps and the on-going support groups, children discover that they are not alone and their feelings are normal. Seasonal camp activities may include art therapy, horseback riding, rope challenge courses, swimming, a petting zoo, hiking, games, a closing memorial ceremony, and more.
