Offers a nutrition education and supplemental food program for pregnant or nursing women, infants or children under 5 years of age. Clients must meet income requirements and be at nutritional risk as determined by the nutritionist or nurse through an evaluation. Immunizations are provided at no charge to children from birth to age 21.

The health department works to prevent disease by promoting healthy lifestyle choices that can combat chronic disease, educating the public about threats to their health, and preventing and controlling communicable disease outbreaks. In addition, our Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program works to improve the health of pregnant women, infants and children through better nutrition.
