Anyone facing a crisis (ex. unemployment, family crisis. chronic medical condition) and in danger of losing primary heating/cooling or needing to restore service, may be eligible for assistance. Must have a disconnection notice in order to apply. You must be a resident of Portsmouth or live in the 23321 or 23323 ZIP Codes of Chesapeake to be assisted by this office. Description

For those facing financial hardship from unemployment, a family crisis, or a chronic medical condition, EnergyShare is Dominion's energy assistance program of last resort. There is no income guideline requirement, however, clients must have a disconnect notice. EnergyShare intake agencies determine eligibility for EnergyShare and may have additional requirements when qualifying customers for this program. Please be reminded that households must be experiencing a documented crisis and/or proof of financial hardship to be considered.
