CGMA supports the financial resilience of the Coast Guard community. The Coast Guard Mutual Assistance provides financial assistance to clients caught in emergency, short-term, financial situations beyond their control that endanger personal well being. An emergency condition is one that arises suddenly, is unforeseen and urgent, and requires immediate attention. Emergency assistance is generally authorized in circumstances that impose a serious financial or personal hardship on the client requiring urgent help to relieve the situation.
