Provides environmental health services that include campground inspections; complaint investigation; food service sanitation training, in cooperation with Virginia Cooperative Extension; hotel, motel and other lodging facility inspections; marina inspections; on-site sewage disposal permits; public swimming pool and tourist establishment inspections; rabies investigations; restaurant and food service permits and inspections; sewage handling and disposal regulation enforcement, protection of shellfish waters; well and septic tank permits and appeals.
