TANF participants are referred to the Family Outreach Program by their VIEW worker when needs are identified outside the scope of VIEW services. When a person is referred to the FOP, they are scheduled to meet face to face with the Program Coordinator to perform a comprehensive assessment that identifies the needs of the client. At the end of the assessment, a service plan is created with the participant to address these needs. The participant is then assigned to a case manager who works closely with the participant to address the service plan goals

Partnered with Shenandoah Valley Social Services to provide vocational and general case management services for TANF/VIEW participants. Services provided: - Assistance obtainin g community, medical, dental, pediatric, mental health, domestic violence, and substance abuse services - Assistance obtaining full or part time employment - Assistance obtaining a GED/EDP, driver's license, and/or professional certifications - Assistance with housing needs and transportation - Budgeting and financial planning - Job Readiness Skills including job searchsupport, help with interview skills, resumedevelopment, vocational testing, etc. - Referrals available for: - GED/HSD/EDP - Parenting Classes - Basic Computer Skills - Anger Management - Vocational assessments - Educational assessments
