Mental Health Services - Youth - Roanoke, Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare
Offers services to children and adolescents under age eighteen experiencing problems and disruption in their home, school, or community due to emotional disturbance and/or substance abuse. Provides treatment to support optimal functioning and to maintain the child in the community and/or least restrictive environment. Services include individual, family, and group counseling, play and expressive art therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, case management, crisis intervention, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and discharge planning from state and private mental hospitals with linkage to community services. Therapy services are provided to detainees at Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center.

We are charged also with continuously monitoring and evaluating our services to ensure their cost effectiveness and applicability to current citizen needs. BRBH operates multiple programs throughout the Roanoke Valley.
