Accepts applications and administers unemployment benefits for persons who have worked in Virginia and other states. Initial benefit claims may also be filed on the web site by clicking on the Unemployment Insurance tab. Weekly continued claims may be filed on the same web site or by phone using the automated number. Both require a PIN(personal identification number) issued when the initial claim is filed.
