Eligibility
Income and must be resident of locality served. Applicants:Individuals
wishing to apply for WAP must submit an application for service and
must meet eligibility requirements as set forth by OMB Circulars
Poverty Guidelines, they must provide proof-of income, proof of
ownership (if it is a home-owned dwelling); obtain landlord permission
(if dwelling is a rental unit). Applications received (Note:

Application process
Specific documents required. The process for assistance is as follows: Applications are received from applicants by the housing staff and reviewed to determine qualification or non-qualification for program assistance. (Note: Applications can be obtained by visiting 18 South Main Street-Chatham, VA or they can be mailed to prospective applicants by calling (434) 432-5627. Applicants are then placed on the program waiting list due to the volume of Weatherization requests. Assistance for the program is based on a first-come, first-serve prioritization basis
