These services are available to children and adolescents ages 6-18 (up to 22 if still in secondary school) who are experiencing developmental, emotional, or behavioral issues.

For admission and referrals, please contact the Central Access Screener for Williamsburg at 757-220-3200 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For Yorktown, contact 757-898-7926 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Fees are charged on a fee-for-service basis. Accept most insurance plans and HMOs, including Medicaid. Individuals without insurance coverage are charged according to ability to pay, based on income and dependents.

Description

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach that helps children, adolescents, and their caretakers address trauma-related issues. The treatment - based on learning and cognitive theories - provides a supportive environment in which children are encouraged to talk about their traumatic experience.
