Enforces domestic animal ordinances. Operates animal shelter. * Dogs may be brought to the Pound during posted hours only. * Leaving dogs outside of the pound when unattended is considered abandonment and is subject to prosecution. * Owners must sign a release form when surrendering their dogs. Adoptions are free to the public, however, you must sign an Adoption Agreement, and a Spay/Neuter Agreement stating that you will have the animal spayed or neutered within a certain period depending on the age of the animal. In the case of a dog bite, please notify the Lee County Sheriff's Department at 276-346-7777, they will page the Officer to respond to this matter.
