Application process

Telephone appointment encouraged,walk-ins accepted for pantry. Requests must be accompanied by specific documents for financial aid, such as proof of income, proof of residence, picture ID and social security card for each individual in the household.

Description

Provides emergency financial assistance to eligible low-income families and individuals for rent, utilities, prescriptions, and other necessities when available. We do not assist with security deposits or first month rent. PCC assists eligible clients one time per year, depending on funding availability. All payments are made directly to vendors. Prescription assistance is available for eligible clients, based on funding. PCC serves only southeast and northeast Roanoke City, eastern Roanoke County and Vinton residents.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Presbyterian Community Center provides financial aid and a food pantry to families/individuals residing in southeast and northeast Roanoke City, eastern Roanoke County and Vinton. The Center also provides an after-school program for children in grades 1 - 12 who reside in SE Roanoke.
