Description
Offers health screening and diagnosis of breast and cervical cancer in Every Woman's Life(EWL) and Susan G Komen(eligiblity for the two programs varies and women are placed in the program for which they are eligible that provides the most services). Women diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer through the EWL program are automatically placed in Virginia Medicaid. Wise Woman is a companion program to EWL that provides screening and treatment for dyslipidemia (elevated cholesterol, or triglycerrides), hypertension, and diabetes mellitus.
