Provides a temporary source of supervised credit and technical support to rural Americans for improving their housing conditions until they qualify for private sector resources. Administers housing programs of the USDA. Provides mortgage money to persons of low to moderate income to become home owners. Also offers repair and rehabilitation loan and/or grant assistance for very low income and/or elderly households (over 62). Serves the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock (Planning District 9), the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson and the City of Charlottesville (Planning District 10), the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg (Planning District 16), and the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Loudoun, Prince William, and city of Manassas (Planning District 8).
