People who are 60 or older and reside in the City of Richmond or the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent and Powhatan.

A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to reduce the fear of falling and encourage activity. Classes are held once a week for 8 weeks or twice a week for 4 weeks. Each class is 2 hours. Workshop is FREE. You will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risk at home and exercise to increase strength and balance. Workshops are offer virtually or in-person.

The Span Center, formerly Senior Connections, provides resources, advocacy, support, and services to help individuals maintain quality of life and independence as they age. The agency also provides information and referral for caregivers and persons with disabilities under Virginia's No Wrong Door initiative.
