Provides a food pantry for the community. Serves Nelson County only. The Pantry is a member of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and located in the parking lot of St Mary's Catholic Church Food pantry is open last Saturday of every month from 9AM-12Noon. (Except November and December when the pantry is open the last Saturday before the holidays). There is no phone in the food pantry. First time applicants may walk in but must bring proof of Nelson county residency and register. Not necessary to call ahead.
