Description

Provides crisis intervention, shelter and support services to victims of emotional, physical and sexual violence and their children. Promotes prevention and raises public awareness on the issues and dynamics of emotional, physical and sexual violence. Offers: A 24-hour hotline providing information and crisis intervention; Accompaniment of clients to doctors, police department, Commonwealth Attorney's office and court proceedings; A shelter facility for emergency housing; Support Groups including: self-esteem, mutual support, financial, parenting, nutrition and survivor groups; Information and referral to other community resources; Educational presentations on emotional, physical and sexual violence issues presented to schools, churches, civic organizations, and other public forums; Speakers' Bureau; Volunteer Training and Development.
