Disabilty Resource - Staunton, Talking Book Center

The Talking Book Center is the local library for residents with print disabilities who are unable to utilize print materials found in local public libraries. The TBC provides patrons with audio books and magazines, along with an audio book player on long-term loan. This free service provided through the Library of Congress is supported locally by the localities served, as well as area United Way chapters in Greater Augusta and Rockbridge County. Accessible by the CATS bus.

Talking Book Center

The Talking Book Center, located on the second floor of the Staunton Public Library, is dedicated to providing accessible books and magazines to individuals who are visually or physically handicapped or have a reading disability. This free service is provided through the Library of Congress/National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled. Talking Book Center patrons are also issued appropriate playback equipment on long-term loan on which to listen to distributed audio materials. Provides service to residents of all ages in Augusta, Bath, Highland, and Rockbridge Counties. ACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible to persons with disabilities. Accessible by the BRITE bus.
