Dominion Virginia Power sponsors this program which provides limited funds for use by Area Agencies on Aging to purchase fans. These fans are distributed to qualified persons in Franklin, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania Counties, Danville, Martinsville cities, who request them. Must be: 60 years of age or older; at or below 150% of the current Federal poverty levels; have a situation at home that threatens your health. Fan Care recipients will be asked at intake if someone can pick up the fan for them. Only in the cases where this is not possible, SAAA will try to arrange for delivery of fans to those in need who qualify.
