Description
The Environmental Health section conducts site evaluations and issues permits for septic systems and private wells where conditions allow. Other services include rabies prevention and post-exposure management, environmental assessment of lead hazards, investigation of environmental complaints and follow-up, West Nile Virus surveillance and specimen collection, and correction of violations identified during shoreline surveys conducted by the Division of Shellfish Sanitation.
