Coordinates and activates an EOC (Emergency Operations Center) for emergency services in the time of disaster, (i.e., rescue, sheltering and medical care). If a disaster occurs information on shelters, food, medical care, evacuation routes, etc can be obtained through Public Information Line 434-591-1902. The Public Information Line is only activated in times of emergency or disaster and is an unmanned line for announcements only.
