Adults 60+ who can manage their medications/health and personal care tasks. Individuals who use assistive devices or need reasonable accommodations are most welcome. If you need assistance with medication management or personal care tasks, consider JABA's Respite and Enrichments Centers.
Field trips may occur at different times/days.

Description

Provides a center for adults 60+ to enjoy recreation, friendship and a hot lunch. Offers a hub of resources for members and their families to maintain health, independence, and wellbeing. Events foster creativity, peer-support, health, nutrition, physical fitness and volunteerism.

JABA - Jefferson Area Board for Aging

JABA offers information and a wide range of services that help older adults and individuals with disabilities remain active in the community. Services are available to those who can pay and to those who cannot. The inter-generational services include community senior centers in Charlottesville City and Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson counties that offer a gathering place for weekday socializing and hot lunch. Additional services include Aging Services Coordination, Home Delivered Meals, Respite & Enrichment Centers, caregiver support groups, Insurance Counseling, Senior Helpline, long-term care advocates, volunteer opportunities, and resources on home care, health services, affordable senior housing, assisted living and more.
