Eligibility screening required. Walk-ins not accepted. Priority given to those in need from Planning District 9 (Fauquier, Culpeper, Orange, Madison, Rappahannock). Neighboring jurisdictions considered only if space allows. Out-of-state referrals not accepted.

Temporary emergency shelter program for vulnerable and homeless families and single adults. 30-day program, with additional 30-day increments based on progress made, but not to exceed 90 days. All adults expected to gain and keep employment and attend Life Skills classes. FSS provides no financial assistance or childcare.

Focus is on determining root cause, increasing economic self-sufficiency to break the cycle of homelessness and transform lives.
