Eligibility
Youth are males and females in the custody of the Department of Social
Services aged 17-20 at the time of admission. Youth are cognitively
able to participate in the program.Youth show motivation, emotional
readiness, and a willingness to learn in the transition process from
foster care to self-sufficiency.Youth who have shown positive progress
in developing and meeting service planning goals in prior living
arrangements. Parenting youth will receive their own apartment with
the furnishings they need for themselves and their child(ren), and
will not be asked to share their apartment with a roommate.
