AppCAA offers free tax preparation through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for eligible taxpayers in Southwest Virginia and the Tri-Cities region. Services for tax year 2025 are available to individuals and families with annual incomes of $69,000 or less.
IRS-certified volunteers help taxpayers claim valuable credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and can prepare both current-year and prior-year returns for up to the past 5 years.
Please note: We are unable to prepare returns involving rental income, large business income, or farm income.
