Provides programs to assist in agricultural development and to assist the farming community. Programs include: aqua-culture, biotechnology, conservation, cooperatives, crop insurance, crop and livestock production, disaster assistance, energy, healthy forest initiative, farm loans and marketing assistance. Administers the Farm Service Agency, Food Safety Inspection Service, Forest Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Agricultural Marketing Services, Foreign Agriculture Service Import/Export Programs, and Rural Development Business Programs, Loans, Grants.
