A series of tours organized for mentally handicapped adults. The program includes free admission, light refreshments and a tour of the house and property. Avoca's goal is to create an atmosphere that simulates the interest and attention of those who are mentally handicapped and to provide them with a one-on-one interaction among staff and volunteers.
Avoca Museum & Historical Society
Established to administer the museum; to accomplish its purpose by collecting and preserving objects and memorabilia which are evidence of the Altavista area's past and by interpreting this evidence to the public, tourism, private rentals.
