Law Enforcement - Suffolk, Suffolk Sheriff's Office

Develop policies and programs designed to improve the quality of life, protect citizens, and enforce the laws. Provide security for the Mills E. Godwin, Jr. Courts Building, the inmate holding area for court and seven courts. In addition, the Sheriff's Office serves all civil papers in the City of Suffolk and assists the Suffolk Police Department in the transportation of Juvenile and Mentally Challenged persons. Serve as a member of the Western Tidewater Regional Jail Board.
