Eligibility

-Must live in Norfolk, VA Beach, or Chesapeake (excluding zips 23321/23323) -Applicants can come once per calendar month for a full distribution. On any return visits, we'll only provide USDA canned items. https://www.fns.usda.gov/cr/fns-nondiscrimination-statement

Hours

On busy days we are known to start early (12:30PM) and also run out of food before 3PM. Recommend arriving as close to 1PM as possible to avoid being turned away for food outages.

Application process

-Applicants line up in cars (on foot folks come directly to the side door) -Staff will come out around 1PM to do check in. New applicants must verbally provide limited residency, household size, and income information. Returning families will just provide a name. -Once checked in, applicants will be directed to the distribution door to receive their food items at which point they can exit the parking lot.

Description

Provides food assistance for Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake* families. The size of the food package varies based on the amount of food on hand each day. Households may come as often as once per calendar month for a full package but can return weekly for additional canned goods (USDA Only).
