Eligibility

Must be 16-24 yrs. old (upper age limit waived if disability involved: reasonable accommodations available) and from a home that is considered low income. Must be free from serious behavior problems and/or outstanding court issues (court dates, fines, restitution), drug and alcohol-free upon arrival and remain drug and alcohol-free and abstain from any acts of violence.

Job Corps is a residential career training program. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas. In addition to helping students complete their education, obtain career technical skills and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, childcare, and transportation. When you complete Job Corps you can enter the workforce or begin an apprenticeship, or attend higher education, or join the military.
