The first step to receiving a HCV is to submit an application when the Waiting List is open. (Currently the waiting list is closed). A waiting list is used because the demand for assistance exceeds the amount of available funding. Applicants are placed on the waiting list based on date and time of their application and any established local preferences. It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the PRHA of any changes in address, income or family composition while on the waiting list.
