Services are availale to the residents of the City of Norfolk only. Financial assistance available one time in a 12-month period; please bring utility disconnection notice. Travel assistance available. Prescription assistance not available for narcotics or psychotropics.

Telephone, Walk-ins; Must complete an application and have a face to face interview with the director or assistant director.

Norfolk, VA

Offers financial and material assistance for individuals who are homeless or in financial need. Freemason Street Baptist has partnered with other Ghent area churches to provide clothing, limited financial assistance for disconnection for utilities, prescription medication and/or coats to those who need them. In the case of medications, GAM is unable to fill any narcotics or psychotropics. Limited funds available for utility assistance GAM will provide the last $50 of the total bill.
