Eligibility

-Applicant must live in the cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, or Chesapeake. -Applicants must have a current bill -Applicants can receive H2O assistance of up to $500 toward total costs -Applicant's household income should fall below 200%n of the current federal poverty thresholds and/or provide documentation of a recent economic crisis.

Application process

Call the Housing Crisis Hotline (757-587-4202) for referral. ALL REFERRALS MUST GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS. Housing Crisis will forward 5-10 H2O applicants to our office each Monday (funds permitting) Salvation Army staff will call those referred the same week. Applicants are required to respond to our contact attempts within 5 business days or the referral will be cancelled.
